Pietro Torrini (Italian, 1852-1920) was born on New Year’s Day 1852 IN Florence, Tuscany and was to become a master of the 19th Century conversation piece in Italy
He was a prolific artist and is best known for his informal genre pieces often with a witty theme or anecdote.
